Since 1981, Feeding America (formerly Second Harvest Gleaners Food Bank) of West Michigan, Inc. has served as West Michigan's regional non-profit clearinghouse for saved, donated food on its way from the food industry to churches and charity agencies that assist needy people.
Genesis assists on Saturdays when we can get on their schedule (usually about three times a year) as well as helps with food drives in May and November. We also seek volunteers to help with harvesting opportunities in late summer/early fall.
Help Feeding America Load Trucks on August 25th
Vounteers are needed to help sort and pack two semi-trucks with fresh food on Wednesday, August 24 at 5 pm following a food show at Devos Center.
