Guatemala & New Orleans

HEDS Up for Los Niños: Every-other-year we attempt to send a service work team outside the United States. For the past six years, Genesis youth and others partnered with HEDS UP for Los Niños working at an orphanage in Guatemala. Past projects have included building bunk beds, updating a playground, painting a beautiful mural on the walls of the children's dining room and, of course, playing with the children.

Hurricane Katrina: For the fifth consecutive year, Genesis is sending a team to New Orleans to help with recovery work [June 12-20].  Cost for the trip, including meals and lodging, will be $250/person. An initial $50 deposit will be necessary to reserve a spot on the team.

Euchre Tournament Fund Raiser

When: Saturday May 1, 2010 - Registration@ 5:30pm; play begins at 6:00pm

Where:  Genesis United Methodist Church

Entry Fee:  $15 to play ($1.00 for each Euchre)

Bring your appetite! Hot dogs, sloppy joes, chips, pop and dessert included (donations are welcome). Prizes will be awarded
